If you are planning to compete in the 2009 IWF-Masters World Championships / World Masters Games in Sydney in October 2009 you must post a qualifying total between the dates of September 27^th, 2008 and April 5^th, 2009. For a total to be recognized it must be posted at a national (or internationial) competition such as the 2008 IWF-Masters Championships, 2008 American Masters, 2008 American Open, or 2009 National Masters. A qualifying total may also be posted at any regional or local competition that can meet the following conditions:

• The scale and weights must be certified
• At least two judges must be national referees
• A special form must be signed by the weigher, referees, and athlete
